Jacob Flint has tried cases to verdict in both the state and federal courts. He has represented clients in pharmaceutical, medical device, medical malpractice, trucking and car accident, and general personal injury lawsuits.

At Flint Law Firm, Jacob has managed the litigation and resolution of pelvic mesh (transvaginal mesh) cases filed in the Southern District of West Virginia multi-district litigations. In these lawsuits, women were implanted with polypropylene or biologic mesh for stress urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. After implantation, the mesh products could cause pain, bleeding, tissue erosion and other serious injuries.

Jacob is currently representing clients injured by abdominal hernia mesh, products made of non-absorbable polypropylene that can cause serious side effects including adhesions, abdominal abscesses, intestinal fistulas, mesh migration, obstructions, pain, swelling, and additional surgeries.

In addition, he is currently working to help clients injured by the diabetes drugs Invokana, Invokament and Invokamet XR, which can cause diabetic ketoacidosis, kidney damage and an increased risk in toe, foot and leg amputations.

As a former human resources manager, Jacob understands the importance of proper employee training and coaching, and takes an active role in developing and implementing standard operating procedures for the firm's employees. To better serve the firm's clients, Jacob has overseen the development of two proprietary databases that were custom built for asbestos litigation and pharmaceutical/medical device litigation. Jacob speaks fluent Spanish. In his free time, Jacob enjoys spending time with his family, snorkeling and diving, underwater photography and fishing.
