Founder - Managing Partner

Attorney Ethan Flint

Ethan Flint is the founder and managing partner of Flint Law Firm, LLC. Ethan founded the firm with only three employees in 2007. Under his leadership, the firm has expanded to offices located in Illinois, Texas, Maryland and Kentucky with a diverse practice focused on complex litigation matters.

Ethan's broad personal injury practice has involved representing persons injured by asbestos, defective pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Ethan is also actively involved with the firm's federal claims and federal takings practice. He represents individuals and corporations in the Court of Federal Claims against the federal government. Ethan has served as trial and settlement counsel in hundreds of cases across the country, both on behalf of injured persons and for other law firms.

To date, Flint Law Firm, LLC has represented thousands of clients suffering from asbestos-related diseases including mesothelioma and lung cancer. Ethan currently represents over 6,000 women implanted with defective pelvic mesh (transvaginal mesh) products, over 1,500 clients injured by IVC filters in both the state and federal courts.

Early in 2015, Ethan and his partners began litigating cases against Janssen Pharmaceuticals, the manufacturer of the anti-clotting drug Xarelto, in Illinois, Missouri and Louisiana. The lawsuits alleged that Xarelto caused internal bleeding and in some cases death. Later that year, these cases were consolidated in the Eastern District of Louisiana, IN RE: Xarelto Products Liability Litigation, MDL 2592.

That same year, Ethan oversaw the filing of IVC filter cases in both federal and state courts. The lawsuits alleged that the Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filters can break, tilt or migrate to other parts of the body causing serious injuries or even death. The firm continues to litigate these cases in California and Indiana state courts and in the consolidated multi-district litigations IN RE: Cook Medical, Inc., IVC Filters Marketing, Sales Practices and Products Liability Litigation, MDL 2570 and IN RE: Bard IVC Filter Products Liability Litigation, MDL, 2641.

Flint Law Firm's success continues today in asbestos, 5th Amendment claims, pharmaceutical and medical device, commercial and catastrophic personal injury litigation. Since 2007, the firm and its attorneys have reached settlements and verdicts for thousands of clients nationwide.

For Ethan, it was important to build a firm with highly skilled lawyers, staff and a robust accounting and lien resolution departments to better serve clients when their cases are resolved. "Not many firms can provide the back-end accounting support to get the much-needed settlement money to their clients quickly. Many of our clients have been devastated by the loss of a family member, their property or have hundreds of thousands of dollars bills looming and I make it a point to get settlement funds to my clients as soon as possible."

Ethan was raised in Kevil, Kentucky, where he and his family now reside. Outside of the firm, Ethan devotes his time to family, wildlife conservation and agriculture. Ethan has also served on the boards of various community, waterfowl and conservation-related charitable organizations. Ethan also serves as a Deputy Sheriff for Ballard County, Kentucky.
