Attorney Adam Riley

Adam Riley is the leader of the firm's federal claims and federal takings practice. He represents individuals and corporations in litigation against the federal government, primarily in the United States Court of Federal Claims in Washington, D.C.

Adam was born in Paducah, Kentucky, and grew up across the river in rural southern Illinois. Adam graduated cum laude and received a bachelor's degree in Finance from Southern Illinois University, where he served as a portfolio manager for the Saluki Student Investment Fund and was elected Beta Gamma Sigma. He graduated cum laude from the Southern Illinois University School of Law, where he served as the managing editor of the Southern Illinois University Law Journal and as a symposium editor on the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy. While still in law school, Adam also gained valuable appellate experience working for the Hon. Stephen L. Spomer of the Illinois Appellate Court and the Hon. Lloyd A. Karmeier of the Illinois Supreme Court.

At the start of his legal career, Adam was a law clerk to the Hon. Victor J. Wolski of the United States Court of Federal Claims in Washington, D.C., where he gained extensive experience in takings litigation. Since that time, most of his experience has centered around litigating property rights under the Fifth Amendment of the United States Constitution—something he is deeply passionate about.

He currently focuses his practice on property rights, inverse condemnation litigation, and commercial litigation. His practice also includes representing those injured by vaccines, pharmaceutical litigation, and all types of appellate litigation. He has experience at the trial and appellate level in both state and federal court as well as mediations and arbitrations. He also has extensive experience with federal government contracts and programs as well as claims brought under the FELA.

Adam practices in the firm's Paducah and Dallas offices. Outside of the office he enjoys weight lifting, fishing, traveling, and trying new food and restaurants.
